The Chipmunks are a fictional animated music group created by Ross Bagdasarian Sr. in 1958. The original members of the group are Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, three anthropomorphic chipmunks. They have released numerous albums and singles over the years, some of their most notable being “The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)”, “Alvin's Harmonica”, and “Witch Doctor”.

Some of their most popular albums include The Chipmunks Sing the Beatles Hits (1964), Let's All Sing with The Chipmunks (1959), and Christmas with The Chipmunks (1963). Some of their most famous songs include “Funkytown”, “The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)”, “Witch Doctor”, and “Alvin's Harmonica”.

An interesting fact about The Chipmunks is that their voices are actually created by playing the recording of Ross Bagdasarian Sr.’s voice at various speeds. This method was used in order to create the signature high-pitched sound of the group.
