The Blow Monkeys Vinyl Records

The Blow Monkeys are an English new wave and pop band that was formed in 1981 in London, England. The original lineup consisted of lead singer and songwriter Dr. Robert (Robert Howard), Mick Anker on bass, Tony Kiley on drums, and Neville Henry on saxophone and keyboards.

The band’s debut album, Animal Magic, released in 1986, was a huge success, featuring their hit single “Digging Your Scene”. Their follow-up album, She Was Only A Grocer’s Daughter, released in 1988, featured their top 40 single “It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way”.

In 1989, the band released their third album, Whoops! There Goes The Neighbourhood, which featured their biggest hit single, “Wait”. This single made the band a household name and reached the top 20 on the UK Singles Chart.

Their fourth album, Springtime for the World, released in 1991, featured their hit single “Celebrity Hit List”.

The Blow Monkeys disbanded in 1993, but reunited in 2008 and have since released several albums, including Devils Inside in 2011 and If Not Now, When? in 2015.
