Sparks Vinyl Records

Sparks is an American pop/rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1971 by brothers Ron and Russell Mael. Sparks is known for their quirky, ironic, and often theatrical lyrics, their complex and often unconventional song structures, and their eclectic mix of musical styles including pop, rock, electronica, and dance music.

The band’s breakout album was 1974's Kimono My House, which spawned the hit single "This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us". Other notable albums by Sparks include 1975's Indiscreet, 1979's No.1 in Heaven, and 1984's Pulling Rabbits Out of a Hat. The band's most recent album, 2017's Hippopotamus, was a return to form.

In addition to their studio albums, Sparks has released a number of live albums and compilations, including the 1981 live album Profile: The Ultimate Sparks Collection. The band's most well-known songs include "This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us", "Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth", "Amateur Hour", and "When Do I Get to Sing 'My Way'".

An interesting fact about Sparks is that they are the only band in history to have charted in the top 10 in the UK, US, and Germany with their single "When Do I Get to Sing 'My Way'".
