Sonny Boy Williamson (born Aleck Miller, 1899-1965) was an American blues musician, singer and songwriter. He was a harmonica player and a key figure in the Mississippi Delta Blues scene of the 1930s and 1940s. He was the first popular blues musician to be recorded, appearing on several records between 1937 and 1948.
Williamson's most famous songs include "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl" (1937), "Eyesight to the Blind" (1951) and "Bring It On Home" (1954). He is best known for his collaboration with the English blues-rock band the Yardbirds, for whom he wrote and recorded "Bring It On Home" and "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl".
