Silverchair Vinyl Records

Silverchair is an Australian alternative rock band formed in 1992 in Newcastle, Australia. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Daniel Johns, bassist Chris Joannou, and drummer Ben Gillies.

Silverchair released five studio albums between 1995 and 2011, which achieved multi-platinum sales. Their first album, Frogstomp (1995), was a huge success, reaching number one in Australia, number two in New Zealand, and number four in the United States. The album produced the singles "Tomorrow", "Pure Massacre", and "Israel's Son".

Their second album, Freak Show (1997), was also successful, reaching number one in Australia and number four in the United States. It featured the singles "Freak", "Abuse Me", and "The Door".

The band's third album, Neon Ballroom (1999), was also well-received, reaching number one in Australia and number two in the United States. It spawned the singles "Anthem for the Year 2000", "Ana's Song (Open Fire)", and "Miss You Love".

The band's fourth album, Diorama (2002), was critically acclaimed and reached number one in Australia and number three in the United States. It featured the singles "The Greatest View", "Without You", and "Across the Night".

Their fifth and final album, Young Modern (2007), was a commercial success, reaching number one in Australia and number seven in the United States. It featured the singles "Straight Lines", "If You Keep Losing Sleep", and "Reflections of a Sound".

An interesting fact about Silverchair is that they are the first band in history to have won the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Award for Best Group a record five times.
