Seatrain was an American rock band formed in New York City in 1969 by former members of the blues-rock band The Blues Project. The band's original lineup consisted of Al Kooper (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Steve Katz (guitar, vocals), Roger Powell (keyboards), Andy Kulberg (bass), and Billy Mundi (drums).

Seatrain's first album, Seatrain, was released in 1969 and featured their biggest hit, "13 Questions," which reached number 48 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their second album, Watch, was released in 1970 and included the single "Just a Dream," which peaked at number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The band's third and final album, Marblehead Messenger, was released in 1971 and featured the single "Manhattan Morning," which peaked at number 85 on the Billboard Hot 100. Seatrain disbanded in 1973.

Some of Seatrain's standout albums and songs include "13 Questions," "Just a Dream," "Manhattan Morning," "Long Time Comin'," "Song of a Gypsy," and "Love is Just a Word."

An interesting fact about Seatrain is that Al Kooper left the band in 1971, shortly after the release of their third album. He was replaced by guitarist Tony Brown, who had previously worked with the band on the Marblehead Messenger album.
