Russ Ballard is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who was a founding member of the group Argent and is best known for his solo hits in the 1970s and 1980s. He has also worked as a session musician and record producer.

Ballard's most successful solo albums include 1976's Winning, 1977's At the Third Stroke, and 1982's Into the Fire. His most successful singles include 1976's "A Woman Like You", 1977's "God Gave Rock and Roll to You" and "Voices", and 1981's "You Can Do Magic".

An interesting fact about Ballard is that he co-wrote the song "Since You Been Gone" with former bandmate Rod Argent, which was famously covered by American hard rock band Rainbow and later by Kelly Clarkson.
