Ruby Braff Vinyl Records

Ruby Braff was a jazz trumpeter and cornetist who was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1927. He was part of a musical family, with his father being a jazz pianist and his mother an opera singer. He started playing the trumpet at the age of 12 and was soon performing with local bands. Braff went on to record over 50 albums and perform with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, and Ella Fitzgerald.

Braff's most popular albums include his 1976 release, Ruby Braff & the George Barnes Quartet, and his 1982 album, Ruby Braff and the New Englanders. Some of his most popular songs include "My Romance," "If I Had You," and "I've Got the World on a String."

An interesting fact about Ruby Braff is that he was a pioneer of the so-called "West Coast Jazz" style, which fused traditional jazz with the more modern bebop style. He also was known for his unique technique, often using the trumpet mute to create a softer, more mellow sound.
