Roy Eldridge Vinyl Records

Roy Eldridge (1911-1989) was an American jazz trumpeter, singer, and bandleader. He was one of the most influential trumpet players of the swing era, and a major influence on later jazz trumpet players. He was known for his fast and brilliant playing, and his use of high notes, mutes, and growls.

Eldridge's most well-known recordings include "Little Jazz" (1934), "Rockin' Chair" (1935), "Hittin' the Jug" (1936), "Wabash Stomp" (1938), and "After You've Gone" (1941). His album "Little Jazz: The Autobiography of Roy Eldridge" (1956) is widely considered to be one of the best jazz recordings of all time.

An interesting fact about Roy Eldridge is that he was the first black jazz musician to be featured on the cover of Down Beat magazine, in 1941.
