Robin Trower is an English rock guitarist and vocalist who achieved success with Procol Harum during the 1960s, and then again as the bandleader of his own power trio during the 1970s. He was born on March 9th, 1945 in Catford, London.

Trower initially gained recognition as the lead guitarist of Procol Harum, appearing on their debut album "A Whiter Shade of Pale" (1967). He left the band in 1971 and released his first solo album, "Twice Removed from Yesterday", in 1973. This was the first of a series of eight albums released by Trower between 1973 and 1981, which established him as one of the leading guitarists of the era. His standout albums during this period include "Bridge of Sighs" (1974), "For Earth Below" (1975), and "Victims of the Fury" (1980). His most popular songs from this period include "Day of the Eagle", "Bridge of Sighs", "Too Rolling Stoned", "Long Misty Days", and "Little Bit of Sympathy".

An interesting fact about Robin Trower is that he was the first artist to be signed to Chrysalis Records in 1969. He has also been a member of the British Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 2018.
