Richie Cole Vinyl Records

Richie Cole is a jazz alto saxophonist and composer from Trenton, New Jersey. He was born in 1948 and began playing the alto saxophone at the age of 11. He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and later earned a Masters degree in Music from Rutgers University.

Cole is best known for his Alto Madness project, a big band jazz style featuring two alto saxophones. He has released numerous albums since his debut in 1975, including "Hollywood Madness," "Richie Cole Plays Ballads & Love Songs," "Alto Madness," and "The Best of Richie Cole."

Some of Cole's standout albums include "Hollywood Madness," which reached number one on the Billboard Jazz charts in 1981, and "Alto Madness," which was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1985.

Some of Cole's standout songs include "Portrait of a Count" and "A Night in Tunisia," both of which have become jazz standards.

An interesting fact about Richie Cole is that he is an accomplished singer as well as an alto saxophonist. He has released several albums of vocal jazz, including "A Vocal Affair" and "Voices."
