Propaganda Vinyl Records

Propaganda is an English synthpop group formed in 1983 by Trevor Horn and Paul Morley. The group was originally composed of lead vocalist Claudia Brücken, drum programmer Steve Pigott and keyboard player Michael Mertens. The group's most successful single was "Dr. Mabuse", which reached No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart in 1984.

Their debut album A Secret Wish was released in 1985, and was acclaimed for its innovative sound and pioneering use of sampling. The album spawned the singles "Duel", "Dream Within a Dream" and "p: Machinery". The album was later certified gold in the UK.

The group's second album, Welcome to the Pleasuredome, was released in 1985 and featured the singles "The Power of Love", "Relax" and "Warriors of the Wasteland". The album was a commercial success, reaching No. 1 in the UK and being certified triple platinum.

The group's third album, 1234, was released in 1989 and featured the singles "Heaven Give Me Words" and "The Murder of Love". The album was not as successful as their previous albums and the group disbanded shortly afterwards.

One interesting fact about Propaganda is that they were the first group to sample the voice of Adolf Hitler, which they did on the song "p: Machinery".
