Prefab Sprout Vinyl Records

Prefab Sprout is an English band formed in the early 1980s by brothers Paddy and Martin McAloon. They are best known for their blend of folk, rock and pop styles of music.

Prefab Sprout's debut album, Swoon, was released in 1984 and featured the hit single "When Love Breaks Down". This album is widely considered to be their standout work and featured such singles as "Cars and Girls" and "Goodbye Lucille".

Their follow-up album, Steve McQueen, was released in 1985 and spawned the singles "The King of Rock 'n' Roll" and "Appetite". This album saw them become internationally successful and is often considered to be their best work.

Their third album, Jordan: The Comeback, was released in 1990 and spawned the hit single "The Golden Calf". The album was a commercial success, but was not as critically acclaimed as their previous work.

Their fourth album, Andromeda Heights, was released in 1997 and featured the single "The Ice Maiden". This album saw them return to their folk and pop roots and was well received by critics.

An interesting fact about Prefab Sprout is that they have never had a number one single, but their song "The King of Rock 'n' Roll" was voted number one in a BBC Radio 2 poll for best single of all time in 2005.
