Portishead Vinyl Records

Portishead is an English band formed in 1991 in Bristol. The band consists of multi-instrumentalist Geoff Barrow, singer Beth Gibbons and, since 1994, Adrian Utley on guitar, keyboards and other instruments. Portishead is considered to be one of the pioneers of the trip hop genre, with their unique blend of downbeat electronic, soul and hip-hop influences.

Their debut album Dummy (1994) was an instant classic, selling over 2 million copies worldwide and featuring the hit single "Sour Times". It is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of the 1990s and was awarded the Mercury Prize in 1995. Their follow up album, Portishead (1997) was also critically acclaimed and reached number 2 in the UK album charts.

Other standout albums include Third (2008) and Roseland NYC Live (1998). Some of their most popular songs include "Glory Box", "Only You", "Mysterons", "Roads" and "Numb".

An interesting fact about Portishead is that the band has never released a music video for any of their songs.
