Planxty Vinyl Records

Planxty is an Irish folk music band that was founded in 1972 by Christy Moore, Dónal Lunny, Andy Irvine, and Liam O'Flynn. The band was formed after they performed together in a show called 'A Ballad Tour of Ireland' and were subsequently invited to record a series of albums.

The band released several albums during their career, including 'The Planxty Collection' (1973), 'After the Break' (1979), 'The Woman I Loved So Well' (1980), and 'Words & Music' (1984). Their standout albums include their debut album 'The Planxty Collection', which featured traditional Irish folk songs as well as original compositions, and 'The Woman I Loved So Well', which included the hit single 'The Lady I Loved So Well'.

Some of their most popular songs include 'The Cliffs of Dooneen', 'The West Coast of Clare', 'Johnny Cope', 'The Blacksmith', and 'The Jolly Beggar'.
