Peter, Paul & Mary were an American folk trio formed in 1961. Comprised of Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers, the trio was integral in popularizing folk music in the United States. The group released several albums, earning them a Grammy Award for their 1962 album, Peter, Paul and Mary.

Their most famous albums include In the Wind (1963), Moving (1963), A Song Will Rise (1965), Album 1700 (1967), and Late Again (1968). Their standout songs include "Blowin' in the Wind," "If I Had a Hammer," "Puff, the Magic Dragon," and "Leaving on a Jet Plane."

An interesting fact about Peter, Paul & Mary is that they performed at the 1963 March on Washington. They were joined by several other iconic figures, including Martin Luther King Jr., in what was one of the most important events of the Civil Rights Movement.
