Peter Nero is an American pianist and conductor who was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1934. He began studying classical music at a young age and was trained by both his mother and at the Juilliard School of Music. He went on to become the musical director of the American Pops Orchestra in Washington, D.C. in the 1970s and has released over thirty albums, earning him a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance for his 1971 album Summer of '42.

Some of Peter Nero's most standout albums include All-Time Greatest Hits (1972), Let's Face the Music (1973), and The Best of Peter Nero (1975). His standout songs include “Theme from Summer of ‘42”, “The Shadow of Your Smile”, “What Now My Love”, and “Theme from Love Story”.
