Paul Hindemith Vinyl Records

Paul Hindemith (1895-1963) was a German composer, violist, and conductor. He was one of the most important composers of the 20th century, and his works cover a wide range of styles and genres. His most popular works include the opera Mathis der Maler, the symphony Mathis der Maler, the Symphonic Metamorphoses on Themes by Weber, the opera Cardillac, the ballet Nobilissima Visione, and the song cycle Das Marienleben.

His most famous albums include the Three Orchestral Works (1930), the Requiem (1943), and the Symphony: Mathis der Maler (1934). His most famous songs include “Sonata for Viola and Piano” (1921), “Sonata for Violin and Piano” (1922), and “Concerto for Violin and Orchestra” (1940).

An interesting fact about Paul Hindemith is that he was a member of the Nazi party during the 1930s and 1940s. However, his works were considered too “modern” for the Nazi regime, and he was eventually expelled from the party.
