Pablo Cruise

Pablo Cruise is an American rock band formed in 1973 in San Francisco, California. The band's original lineup consisted of David Jenkins (vocals, guitar), Cory Lerios (keyboards, vocals), Steve Price (drums), and Bud Cockrell (bass). They are best known for their string of hit singles in the late 1970s, including "Love Will Find a Way," "Whatcha Gonna Do?," and "Cool Love."

Pablo Cruise's self-titled debut album was released in 1975, followed by their breakout album A Place in the Sun in 1977. The album featured their first Top 40 single, "Love Will Find a Way," which reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100. This was followed by their second album Lifeline (1978), which spawned the hit singles "Whatcha Gonna Do?," which peaked at #6 on the Hot 100, and "Cool Love," which peaked at #30.

Other standout albums from Pablo Cruise include World Tour (1980), Reflected (1981), Out of Our Hands (1982), and Reflections (1985). In 1988, the band released their greatest hits compilation, The Best of Pablo Cruise, which featured all of their biggest hits plus two new songs, "One Love" and "Don't Want to Live Without It."

An interesting fact about Pablo Cruise is that they are one of the few bands to have a hit single that was sung in both English and Spanish. In 1979, they released a bilingual version of their song "A Place in the Sun" which charted at #1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart.
