Nicolette Larson was an American pop and country singer-songwriter, born in Helena, Montana in 1952. She is best remembered for her 1978 hit, "Lotta Love", a duet with Neil Young. She also had a number of country hits during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Larson's first album, Nicolette, was released in 1978 and included "Lotta Love". It was a success, reaching #14 on the Billboard album chart and garnering her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. She followed it up with her 1979 album, In the Nick of Time, which included the hit single, "That's How You Know When Love's Right".

Larson's next two albums, Radioland and All Dressed Up and No Place To Go, were both released in 1981 and featured the singles "Let Me Go, Love" and "Fool Me Again". Her final album, All Dressed Up and No Place To Go, was released in 1983.

Larson's music was a mix of pop and country, blending her vocal style with contemporary arrangements. She had a number of notable collaborations with other artists, such as Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt.

An interesting fact about Nicolette Larson is that she was the first female artist to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
