Neurosis Vinyl Records

Neurosis is an American post-metal band formed in Oakland, California in 1985. The band is composed of founders Scott Kelly (guitar/vocals), Dave Edwardson (bass), and Jason Roeder (drums), as well as Noah Landis (keyboards/samples).

Neurosis’s breakthrough album was Souls at Zero (1992), which included the songs “Lost” and “The Web”. The album was praised for its abrasive sound and dark lyrical content. This set the stage for their next album, Enemy of the Sun (1993), which was even darker and more experimental. This album included the songs “Sterile Vision” and “Flight”.

The band’s breakthrough album was Through Silver in Blood (1996). This album was critically acclaimed for its combination of heavy riffs and ambient passages, as well as its intense lyrics. It included the songs “Locust Star”, “Reach”, and “Aeon”.

Neurosis’s subsequent albums have continued to be highly acclaimed, with A Sun That Never Sets (2001) and Given to the Rising (2007) being particularly noteworthy. The band has also released a series of live albums and compilation albums, including Times of Grace (1999) and Honor Found in Decay (2012).

An interesting fact about Neurosis is that they are known for their intense live performances, often accompanied by visuals and lighting effects. They have also collaborated with a number of other artists, including Jarboe and Josh Graham.
