N.W.A. Vinyl Records

N.W.A (or Niggaz With Attitude) is an American hip hop group that was formed in 1986 in Compton, California. The original lineup consisted of Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, DJ Yella, and MC Ren.

N.W.A. is widely credited as being one of the most influential hip hop acts of all time, and was the first group to popularize gangsta rap and West Coast hip hop. They are also credited with helping to establish the “G-Funk” sound and style of hip hop.

Their breakthrough album, Straight Outta Compton (1988), is considered to be one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time and was certified triple platinum. The album spawned several hit singles, including “Fuck tha Police” and “Straight Outta Compton”.

Their follow-up album, Efil4zaggin (1991), was also a success, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 and being certified double platinum. The album spawned the hit single “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang”, which has been cited as one of the greatest hip hop songs of all time.

An interesting fact about N.W.A. is that the group is often credited as being one of the pioneers of the gangsta rap sub-genre of hip hop. The group’s lyrics often featured graphic and violent content, and often glorified the lifestyle of gang members. This led to the group being heavily criticized and even banned from many radio stations.
