Morphine Vinyl Records

Morphine was an alternative rock band formed in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1989 by Mark Sandman, Dana Colley, and Jerome Deupree. The band blended jazz, blues, rock, and punk music styles, which made them stand out from other alternative rock bands.

Morphine's most acclaimed and successful albums are Cure for Pain (1993) and Yes (1995). Standout tracks from Cure for Pain include "Buena", "Thursday", and "In Spite of Me". From Yes, the standout tracks include "Honey White", "Scratch", and "I Know You".

An interesting fact about Morphine is that the band never had a lead singer. Mark Sandman sang and played guitar and two-string bass simultaneously. The two-string bass was a custom-made instrument he invented.
