Mike Batt is an English singer-songwriter, musician, record producer and conductor. He is best known for his work with the band The Wombles and the song "Bright Eyes", a global hit in 1979.

Batt's solo career has spanned several decades, with his most successful album being Tarot Suite (1979). This album featured the hit singles "Lady of the Dawn" and "The Ride to Agadir". Other successful albums include Schizophonia (1977), Waves (1980), and Tarot Suite Live (1981).

Batt is also known for writing the musical score for the musical adaptation of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, which opened in London's West End in 2019. He also wrote the musical score for the film Return to Oz (1985).

One interesting fact about Mike Batt is that he was the first artist to top the UK singles chart with a song written, produced and performed entirely by himself. This was achieved with the song "Bright Eyes".
