Michelle Shocked Vinyl Records

Michelle Shocked is an American singer-songwriter who was born in Dallas, Texas in 1962. She began her music career in the 1980s, performing folk and blues music in small clubs in California. She released her debut album, The Texas Campfire Tapes, in 1986 and gained a cult following with her unique style of music. She had her major label debut with the 1988 album Short Sharp Shocked, which featured the song "Anchorage" and was nominated for a Grammy Award.

Shocked's 1992 album Arkansas Traveler was critically acclaimed and featured the single "Memories of East Texas". Her next album, Kind Hearted Woman, was released in 1994 and included the songs "If Love Was a Train" and "Come a Long Way". Her later albums include ToHeavenU Ride (1998), Deep Natural (2001) and Soul of My Soul (2005).

An interesting fact about Michelle Shocked is that she has been involved in numerous causes and charities throughout her career, including the Women's Refugee Commission and Amnesty International.
