Michael Omartian is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, arranger, and keyboardist. He has been credited on over 100 albums and has been a part of some of the biggest selling albums of all time, including Christopher Cross' self-titled debut album, which won 5 Grammy Awards in 1981. Omartian has also been credited as a producer, arranger, and/or musician on albums by artists such as Rod Stewart, Barbra Streisand, Paul Anka, and Toto.

Omartian's most successful albums are Christopher Cross, Michael Omartian, and Adam Again. His standout albums include "White Horse" (1977), "The Race" (1979), "Adam Again" (1987), and "The Power of the Cross" (1996). His standout songs include "Sailing", "Ride Like the Wind", "Think of Laura", "The Search Is Over", "Lost in the Parade", and "The Prayer".

An interesting fact about Michael Omartian is that he is one of only five people who have won Grammy Awards in both the Pop and Gospel categories. He won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Gospel Performance for his work on "The Power of the Cross" in 1997.
