Martika Vinyl Records

Martika is an American pop singer and songwriter. She was born in Whittier, California in 1969 and began her career in the 1980s as a child actress on television. She rose to fame in 1988 with her debut album, Martika, which featured the hit single "Toy Soldiers" and went on to become a top 10 hit in the US and UK.

Martika's second album, 1991's Martika's Kitchen, was her most successful, and featured the Top 10 single "Love... Thy Will Be Done", which was co-written by Prince. She also released the singles "More Than You Know" and "Coloured Kisses".

Martika's third album, 1995's Temptation, was less successful and she left the music industry after its release. She returned to the music scene in 2017 with the album La Musica, which featured the single "Life Is Good".

An interesting fact about Martika is that she was the first artist to have two songs in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart simultaneously. "Toy Soldiers" and "Love...Thy Will Be Done" both peaked at #4 in 1989.
