Mark Isham is an American composer, trumpeter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known for his work in the film and television industry, composing scores for films such as Crash, A River Runs Through It, and Blow.

Isham has released over 15 solo albums, including his 1984 debut, Blue Sun, and his most recent, A Kind of Blue, which was released in 2019. His most popular songs include "Lonely Town," "My Father's House," and "Dreams So Real."

An interesting fact about Mark Isham is that he was the first composer to win an Emmy for a title theme for a TV show. He won the Emmy for his theme for the show "thirtysomething." He is also the only composer to have been nominated for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and an Emmy for his music.
