Man is a Welsh rock band that was formed in 1968 by brothers Micky and Deke Jones, and drummer Terry Williams. They are credited with pioneering the progressive rock genre in the United Kingdom, and have been cited as an influence by many bands, including AC/DC, Motorhead, and Van Halen.

Man's first two albums, Revelation (1969) and 2 Ozs. of Plastic with a Hole in the Middle (1970) were released on the Liberty Records label. They gained popularity in the United Kingdom with their third album, All's a Breeze (1971). This album was produced by David Hitchcock and featured the single "Romain," which became their biggest hit in the UK, reaching number 23 on the UK Singles Chart.

Man went on to release a string of critically acclaimed albums throughout the 1970s, including Rhinos, Winos and Lunatics (1973), Maximum Darkness (1975), Slow Motion (1976), and The Welsh Connection (1977). Their standout albums from the 1980s include The Twang Dynasty (1982), The Big Ear (1984), and British Standard Approved (1987).

Man's most popular songs include "Bananas," "Romain," "C'mon," "Spunk Rock," and "Heads Down No Nonsense Mindless Boogie."

An interesting fact about Man is that their drummer Terry Williams was also a member of the popular 1970s band Dire Straits.
