Lee Ritenour is an American jazz guitarist, composer and session musician. He began his career at the age of 16, when he recorded his first album, First Course, which featured the hit single “Is It You”. He has since recorded more than 40 albums as a leader, including his most successful album, 1986's Harbor Lights, which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Jazz chart. Other standout albums include 1979's Captain Fingers, 1984's Night Rhythms, and 1996's Stolen Moments.

Ritenour is known for his ability to combine jazz, funk, pop and Brazilian music styles into his music. He has collaborated with a variety of artists, including Dave Grusin, Dave Koz, George Benson, and Herbie Hancock. His most popular songs include “Is It You”, “Wes Bound”, “Rain Dance”, “Rio Funk”, and “A Little Bumpin’”.

An interesting fact about Lee Ritenour is that he is the only artist to have won Grammy Awards in both jazz and pop categories. He won the Best Pop Instrumental Performance for his work on the film “Toys” in 1992 and the Best Jazz Fusion Performance for “Wes Bound” in 1988.
