LCD Soundsystem

LCD Soundsystem is an American rock band formed in 2002 by musician and producer James Murphy in New York City. The band is composed of Murphy, Pat Mahoney, Nancy Whang, Tyler Pope, Al Doyle, Gavin Russom, Matt Thornley and Korey Richey. The group has released four studio albums, the most successful being their self-titled third album released in 2007.

LCD Soundsystem’s standout albums include Sound of Silver (2007), This is Happening (2010) and American Dream (2017). Their most popular songs include “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House” (2005), “All My Friends” (2007), “Drunk Girls” (2010) and “Call the Police” (2017).

An interesting fact about LCD Soundsystem is that their live shows often feature extended versions of their songs, with some tracks lasting over ten minutes. The band is known for their long and energetic performances, which often end with Murphy and the band performing “All My Friends” as an encore.
