Lalo Schifrin is a composer, arranger, and pianist from Argentina. He is best known for his film and television scores, such as the Mission Impossible theme song, the score for Dirty Harry, and the themes for Starsky and Hutch and Mannix. He has composed and arranged over 100 scores for films and television and has received numerous awards and nominations.

Some of his standout albums include Jazz Goes to the Movies (1962), The Cat (1966), Bullitt (1968), and Enter the Dragon (1973). His most popular songs include “The Cat”, “Mission Impossible”, “Danube Incident”, “Big City Blues”, and “Dirty Harry”.

An interesting fact about Lalo Schifrin is that he was the first composer to win an Emmy, Grammy, and Oscar in the same year. He won an Oscar for Best Music, Original Song Score and Adaptation for the movie Cool Hand Luke in 1968.
