Kreator Vinyl Records

Kreator is a German thrash metal band formed in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia in 1982. The band is credited as one of the “Big Four” of Teutonic thrash metal, alongside Destruction, Sodom, and Tankard.

Kreator’s earliest albums, Endless Pain (1985) and Pleasure to Kill (1986), are considered seminal works of the thrash metal genre. The band released the classic and influential albums Extreme Aggression (1989) and Coma of Souls (1990) before changing their style with the albums Renewal (1992) and Cause for Conflict (1995). In 2001, Kreator released the album Violent Revolution, a return to their earlier thrash style. The band has continued to release albums in a variety of styles, including the most recent album, Gods of Violence (2017).

Kreator’s standout songs include “Betrayer”, “Pleasure to Kill”, “Extreme Aggression”, “Renewal”, “Phobia”, “Enemy of God”, “Violent Revolution”, and “Gods of Violence”.

An interesting fact about Kreator is that the band’s original name was Tyrant, but they changed it to Kreator because another band had already taken the name.
