Kenny Rankin

Kenny Rankin was an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and composer from New York City. He released 18 albums between 1964 and 2007, ranging from pop to jazz to folk. His music was featured in television shows and films, and his song "Peaceful" was a minor hit single in the 1970s.

Rankin's most acclaimed and popular albums include Silver Morning (1971) and The Kenny Rankin Album (1976). Silver Morning featured the song "Peaceful" as well as the classic "Haven't We Met". The Kenny Rankin Album included the song "Like a Seed", which was featured in the film The Big Chill.

An interesting fact about Kenny Rankin is that he was an advocate for the rights of songwriters, and was a founding member of the National Academy of Songwriters. He was also a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
