Jutta Hipp Vinyl Records

Jutta Hipp was a German jazz pianist and composer who was one of the first female jazz musicians to gain widespread acclaim in Europe during the 1950s. She was born in Leipzig, Germany in 1925 and began playing piano at the age of five. She studied classical piano and composition at the Leipzig Conservatory and later went on to study at the prestigious Julliard School in New York City.

Hipp was known for her unique style which blended classical and jazz music. She released a number of albums throughout her career, many of which featured some of the biggest names in jazz. Her most successful album, Jutta Hipp with Zoot Sims, was released in 1956 and featured the acclaimed tenor saxophonist Zoot Sims. Other notable albums include The Great Jazz Pianist (1955) and Jutta and the Jazz Brothers (1956).

Among her most popular songs are "That's All", "My Funny Valentine", and "My Man's Gone Now". She also wrote a number of original compositions such as "Jutta's Blues" and "Dancing in the Dark".

An interesting fact about Jutta Hipp is that she was the first woman to ever record a solo jazz album in Europe. She was also a major influence on the jazz scene in Europe during the 1950s and 1960s, helping to introduce a new generation of musicians to the genre.
