Jim Capaldi

Jim Capaldi was a British singer-songwriter, drummer, and founding member of the British rock band Traffic. He is best known for his songwriting collaborations with Steve Winwood and his contribution to Traffic's 1967 hit album, Mr. Fantasy.

Capaldi's debut solo album, Oh How We Danced, was released in 1972 and featured the hit single "Love Used to Be a Friend of Mine." His second album, Short Cut Draw Blood, followed in 1974 and featured the classic hit single "It's All Up to You." His third album, Fierce Heart, was released in 1983 and spawned the popular singles "That's Love" and "Heartbeat".

Capaldi's most successful album was his fourth, The Name of the Game, which was released in 1986 and featured the hit singles "Living in a Golden Age" and "The Name of the Game". His final solo album, King of the One Horse Town, was released in 1991.
