Ike Quebec Vinyl Records

Ike Quebec was an American jazz tenor saxophonist and a blues shouter. He was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1919 and began playing the saxophone at the age of 11. Quebec's career began in the 1930s when he performed with the Don Redman Orchestra and the Andy Kirk Orchestra.

In 1941, Quebec signed with Blue Note Records and began to record as a leader. His first session was held on November 20, 1941 and his first album, Blue Note BLP 1533, was released in 1948. His Blue Note catalog consists of 11 albums and numerous singles. Some of his most famous albums include Blue and Sentimental, Bossa Nova Soul Samba, and Heavy Soul.

Some of Quebec's standout songs include "Blue and Sentimental," "It Might As Well Be Spring," and "Soul Samba."
