Horace Andy Vinyl Records

Horace Andy (born Horace Hinds, 19 February 1951) is a Jamaican roots reggae singer and songwriter known for his distinctive vocals and hit songs such as "Skylarking", "Love of a Woman" and "Government Land". He is also famous for his collaborations with English trip hop group Massive Attack.

Horace Andy's first solo album, Skylarking, was released in 1976 and was one of the first reggae albums to gain mainstream success. He has since released a number of albums, including Dance Hall Style (1980), Sings for You and I (1985) and Life Is For Living (1996). His most recent album, Horace Andy Sings (2016), features a collection of his classic hits, as well as some new material.

Andy has had several hit singles over the years, including "Government Land", "Five Man Army", "In the Light", "Don't Try To Use Me", "Natty Dread a Weh She Want" and "See a Man's Face".

An interesting fact about Horace Andy is that he has worked with both the reggae and electronic music scenes. He has collaborated with Massive Attack, who sampled his song "Angel" on their 1998 album Mezzanine, and has also worked with drum and bass duo Sigma on their single "Nobody To Love".
