Gerald English
Gerald English is a British rock band formed in 1996 in South London, England. The band is composed of brothers Carl (lead vocals, guitar) and Mark English (bass, backing vocals), and drummer Tom Martin.
Their first album, Everlasting Life, was released in 1997 and included their breakthrough single, "Save Me". The album went on to become an international success, peaking at number 3 on the UK Albums Chart.
Their second album, Deep Down, was released in 2001 and spawned the hit singles "Run Away" and "You". The album peaked at number 5 on the UK Albums Chart.
Their third album, Let It Go, was released in 2004 and featured the singles "Beautiful", "Worldwide" and "Don't Leave Me Now". The album peaked at number 9 on the UK Albums Chart.
Gerald English is known for their melodic, anthemic sound, combining elements of rock, pop, and folk music.
An interesting fact about Gerald English is that their song "Save Me" was featured in the hit movie The Bourne Identity.
