Georgie Fame is a British rhythm and blues, jazz, and rock and roll singer and keyboard player. He was born Clive Powell in 1943 in Leigh, Lancashire, England. Fame is best known for his 1960s hits such as "Yeh Yeh," "Get Away," and "The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde." He is also well-known for being a member of the rock band, The Blue Flames.

Fame released his debut album, Rhythm and Blues at the Flamingo, in 1964. It featured his biggest hit, "Yeh Yeh," and was followed by the release of four more albums in the 1960s, including Fame at Last (1966), Sweet Things (1966), and Sound Venture (1968).

Fame released several more albums in the 1970s and 1980s, including Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames (1971), Cool Cat Blues (1977), and Poet in New York (1982). His most recent album is Fame Again, which was released in 2011.

Fame's most successful and memorable songs include "Yeh Yeh," "Get Away," "The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde," and "Poetry in Motion."

An interesting fact about Georgie Fame is that he was the first ever act to appear on the BBC's Top of the Pops, which debuted in 1964.
