Gary Wright (born April 26, 1943) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter, best known for his 1976 hit song “Dream Weaver”. He was an early member of the band Spooky Tooth and released a number of solo albums throughout the 1970s.

Wright's most successful album was 1975's Dream Weaver, which featured the hit single "Dream Weaver" as well as the song "Love Is Alive". His other standout albums include The Light of Smiles (1977), Headin' Home (1980), and Touch and Gone (1981).

Wright was also the composer and producer of the 1980s sitcom Perfect Strangers theme song. He has also written and performed music for several films, including the score for the 1978 film Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

An interesting fact about Gary Wright is that he was one of the first artists to use a synthesizer in his music. He was also the first artist to be nominated for a Grammy for a synthesizer performance.
