Ganggajang Vinyl Records

Ganggajang is an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1984. Originally formed as a studio project, the band became a live act in 1986.

The band is best known for their 1985 single, "Sounds of Then (This Is Australia)", which peaked at #8 on the Australian singles chart and is one of the best-known songs from the mid-1980s Australian music scene. The song is frequently used in Australian television and film soundtracks and advertising.

The band's first album, Ganggajang, was released in 1985 and is considered a classic of the Australian pub rock scene. The album featured a number of the band's classic songs, including "Sounds of Then (This Is Australia)", "Gimme Some Lovin'", "House of Cards" and "Carry Me".

The band's second album, Ganggajang II, was released in 1988. The album featured a more pop-oriented sound and yielded the hit single "Everythings Changing".

Ganggajang's most recent album, Ganggajang III, was released in 2015. The album featured a mix of rock, pop and world music influences, and included the singles "Mysterious Girl" and "Make It Up As We Go Along".

An interesting fact about Ganggajang is that their lead singer and songwriter, Mark Callaghan, has written songs for other artists, including Jimmy Barnes, INXS, and Kylie Minogue.
