Flora Purim is a Brazilian jazz singer who is well known for her work in the Latin jazz and fusion genres. She has been active since the 1960s and is considered to be one of the most influential Latin jazz vocalists of all time.

Flora Purim's most acclaimed and successful albums are Butterfly Dreams (1973), Carry On (1975) and Everyday, Everynight (1979). Her most popular songs include "500 Miles High" from Butterfly Dreams and "What About the Child" from Carry On.

An interesting fact about Flora Purim is that she has worked with many of the greats of the jazz world, including Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, and Weather Report. She has also collaborated with jazz guitarist Larry Coryell and has toured with Santana.
