The Fat Boys are an iconic rap group from Brooklyn, New York. Formed in 1982, the group consisted of three members—Prince Markie Dee, Kool Rock-Ski and Buff Love (the Human Beatbox). The Fat Boys are credited with pioneering the hip hop genre, blending rap, comedy and beatboxing.

Their debut album, Fat Boys, was released in 1984, and featured the classic hit single “Jail House Rap”. Their follow-up album, The Fat Boys Are Back, was released in 1985 and produced their biggest hit, “The Twist”, which reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Other notable singles include “Can You Feel It”, “Don't You Dog Me”, “The Stick Up”, “All You Can Eat” and “The Fat Boys Are Back”.

Their other albums include Crushin' (1987), Big & Beautiful (1989), On and On (1991), Mack Daddy (1993), and Coming Back Hard Again (1995).

The group disbanded in 1995, but reunited in 2007 for a tour and new album, Nuttin' But Love.

An interesting fact about the Fat Boys is that they were the first rap group to perform at the Grammy Awards, in 1985.
