Eric Gale (1938 - 1994) was an American jazz guitarist who had a long and successful career as a session musician and sideman. He is most known for his work with jazz-fusion groups such as Stuff, the Brecker Brothers, and Steps Ahead. He also performed with artists like George Benson, Grover Washington Jr., Billy Joel, Bob James, and Chick Corea.

Gale's most successful solo albums are Part of You (1977), Touch of Silk (1980), Multiplication (1982), and Blue Horizon (1985). His standout songs include "Touch of Silk," "Give It Up," "Gimme Some Lovin'," and "I've Got the Blues."

An interesting fact about Eric Gale is that he played on over 500 albums and was the guitarist on Bob James' hit song "Angela" from the TV show Taxi.
