Eddie Rabbitt was an American country music singer and songwriter. He was born on November 27, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in East Orange, New Jersey. His career in country music began in the late 1960s when he moved to Nashville and began writing and recording his own material.
Rabbitt's biggest hit was "Drivin' My Life Away" in 1980, which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Other notable singles include "I Love a Rainy Night", "Every Which Way But Loose", "Rocky Mountain Music" and "Suspicions". He also scored six number one hits on the Country charts and was named the Academy of Country Music's Top New Male Vocalist in 1977.
Rabbitt's most successful albums include Rocky Mountain Music (1976), Radio Romance (1982), Horizon (1983), and his Greatest Hits (1985).
An interesting fact about Eddie Rabbitt is that he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1998.
