Dwight Yoakam is an American singer-songwriter, actor and musician, who is known for his honky-tonk and Bakersfield sound. He has released over 20 albums since his debut in 1986 and has charted more than 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Some of his standout albums include his debut album Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. (1986), Hillbilly Deluxe (1987), If There Was a Way (1990) and This Time (1993). Some of his most popular songs include “Guitars, Cadillacs”, “Fast as You”, “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere” and “Streets of Bakersfield”. An interesting fact about Dwight Yoakam is that he was one of the first country artists to incorporate punk and rock influences into his music.
