Dungen

Dungen is a Swedish rock band formed in 1999 by multi-instrumentalist Gustav Ejstes. Their music is a mix of psychedelia, progressive rock, and folk music, often featuring lyrics sung in Swedish. Dungen is also noted for their incorporation of traditional Swedish instruments such as the nyckelharpa, into their music.

Dungen's first two albums, Stadsvandringar (2000) and Ta det lugnt (2004), were both acclaimed and the band began to garner international attention. The band's third album, Tio bitar (2007) was an even bigger success, reaching the Swedish charts and earning a Grammy nomination.

Dungen's most successful and acclaimed album is probably 4 (2010). The album was praised for its mix of styles, including rock, psych, folk, and jazz. The album also featured some of the band's most popular songs, such as "Marken Låg Stilla", "Gör Det Nu", and "Panda".

An interesting fact about Dungen is that Gustav Ejstes has collaborated with a number of well-known artists, such as Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and The Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne. In 2010, Ejstes and Coyne released an album together under the name Dungen & Wayne Coyne.
