Dr. John Vinyl Records

Dr. John is an American singer, songwriter and musician from New Orleans. He is best known for his blending of blues, jazz, zydeco, funk and boogie-woogie. He has released more than 30 studio albums and has been nominated for six Grammy awards. Dr. John's standout albums include Gris-Gris (1968), Desitively Bonnaroo (1974), and In The Right Place (1973). Gris-Gris was his debut album, which was heavily influenced by voodoo mysticism and featured the standout track “I Walk On Gilded Splinters”. Desitively Bonnaroo featured the popular song “Right Place Wrong Time” and In The Right Place featured the hit “Such a Night”. An interesting fact about Dr. John is that he was the recipient of the Living Legend Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in 1998.
