Don Nix Vinyl Records

Don Nix (born Donald Nicks, 1943) is an American blues musician, songwriter and producer. He has been an influential figure in the Memphis music scene since the 1960s.

Nix began his career as a session musician in Memphis, recording with artists such as Otis Redding, Al Green, Albert King and Little Milton. He also played on several classic albums, including Big Star's Third/Sister Lovers and Neil Young's Harvest.

In 1973, Nix released his first solo album, Going Down: A Collection of Gospel and Blues. This was followed by two more solo albums, Don Nix in Concert (1975) and In God We Trust (1976).

Some of Nix's most popular songs include "Going Down," "Take Me to the River," "Respect Yourself" and "Gimme Some Lovin'."

An interesting fact about Don Nix is that he wrote the lyrics for the classic blues song "When Something Is Wrong with My Baby," which was later recorded by Sam & Dave and Otis Redding.
